Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu Yönetim Kurulu Üyesi ve A Milli Takım Sorumlusu Hamit Altıntop, 2022 FIFA Dünya Kupası Avrupa Elemeleri play-off turu yarı finalinde 24 Mart Perşembe günü karşılaşacakları Portekiz'i deplasmanda yenerek 29 Mart'ta Konya'da İtalya ya da Kuzey Makedonya ile Dünya Kupası'na katılmak için final maçını oynamak istediklerini söyledi.
A Milli Futbol Takımının Porto'da kamp yaptığı otelde basın mensuplarının sorularını yanıtlayan Altıntop, "10 eleme maçından sonra ikinci olarak play-off'lara kaldık. Güzel bir kura oldu, en zor kura diyebiliriz. Ama böyle tekli maçlarda neler olabileceğini biliyoruz. Kesinlikle Portekiz favori. Kesinlikle. Baktığınızda Avrupa Şampiyonasını kazanmış, çok değerli bireysel oyunculara sahip ama burada son olarak evlerinde oynadıkları Sırbistan maçında da eksiklerini, zaaflarını görebildik. Orada bunu değerlendirmek, fırsata çevirmek istiyoruz. Bunları yapabiliriz, ekibimize inanıyoruz. 2012'de ben daha sahada yer alırken, Pepe ve Cristiano Ronaldo da sahadaydı ve 3-1 kazanmıştık. Evet o bir dostluk maçıydı ama yine de kazanmıştık. Perşembe günü de bunu tekrar edebiliriz. İnanıyorum." ifadelerini kullandı.
Altıntop, takımdaki oyuncuların ciddi bir sakatlığı olmadığını belirterek, "Çok ciddi bir şey yok çok şükür. Gelecek günlerde idmanlarda takip edilecek oyuncularımız. Hiçbirini riske atmayız. Hepsi çok değerli ve kıymetli. Oynama şansı olursa oynayacaklar ama doktora görüştüğümüz son detaylarda çok ciddi bir şey yok." şeklinde konuştu.

Hamit Altıntop, Yusuf Yazıcı, Kerem Aktürkoğlu ve Cengiz Ünder gibi isimlerin formda olduğunun hatırlatılması üzerini ise, "Çok şükür takımdaki isimler formda. En önemlisi sakatlık olmasın. Performanslarda iniş ve çıkışlar olacaktır. Yusuf Yazıcı’dan bahsedelim. İnanılmaz bir şampiyonluktan sonra farklı nedenlerden dolayı oynama fırsatı çok bulamadı. Kötü oynadı da diyemeyiz. Kendisi karar verdi ve takımı değiştirdi. Bu da cesaret gerektiren bir durumdur. Yeni takımında lider bir pozisyonda ve skora etki etmesinin ayrı bir önemi var. İyi bir futbolcu olduğunu her zaman biliyorduk. Skora katkı yapması ve özgüvenini sabit tutabilmesi bizim için önemli ve kıymetli." açıklamasında bulundu.
"Amacımız belli. Biz turu geçmek istiyoruz." sözlerini kullanan Altıntop şöyle konuştu:
"Bunun etrafında çok konuşmaya gerek yok. Biz turu geçmek istiyoruz ve buna inanıyoruz. En iyi şekilde tedbirimizi ve önlemlerimizi aldık. Ama bir takımı temsil eden faktörler var, samimiyet, iletişim ve istişare. Biz aynı zamanda devamlılık istiyoruz. İnişli çıkışlı futboldan uzaklaşmak istiyoruz. Bunun üzerine koyarak, kaliteyi artırarak, havuzu büyüterek bir yerlere gelmek istiyoruz. Sadece skor endeksli bir maçtır bu ama bizim analizlerimizde her zaman uzun vadeli hedeflerimiz göz önünde olacak. Bu turu geçmek istiyoruz ama uzun vadeli hedeflerimize küçük bir adım bile bizi yaklaştırırsa, bizi tatmin edecektir. İSTANBUL (AA) - HİLMİ SEVER - A Milli Futbol Takımı Teknik Direktörü Stefan Kuntz, 2022 FIFA Dünya Kupası Avrupa Elemeleri play-off turu yarı finalinde Portekiz'e karşı sahada Türk halkının gurur duyacağı bir takım olacağını söyledi.
TFF'nin Riva'daki Hasan Doğan Milli Takımlar Kamp ve Eğitim Tesisleri'nde AA muhabirinin sorularını yanıtlayan Stefan Kuntz, 24 Mart Perşembe günü deplasmanda Portekiz ile oynanacak müsabaka hakkında, "Maça hazırız. Çok manşetlere çıkacak, iddialı mesajlar veren biri değilim. Ancak şunu söylemek istiyorum, Portekiz karşılaşmasında çok iyi performans ortaya koyacağız. Türk halkının gurur duyacağı, kazanma azmimizi göreceği, coşkuyla destekleyeceği bir performans ortaya koyacağımızı söylemek istiyorum." ifadelerini kullandı.
Kuntz, "Enes Ünal çok formda, Burak Yılmaz da çok deneyimli. Forvette tercihiniz nasıl olacak?" sorusuna, "Enes'in ufak bir sakatlığı vardı. MR'a girmesi gerekti. Neyse ki çok önemli bir durumu yok. Bahsettiğiniz durumu yaşamak bizi zorluyor ama her zaman rekabet iyidir. Duruma göre bakacağız. (Gülerek) Belki ikisi birden oynayabilir." yanıtını verdi.
Portekiz maçıyla ilgili tüm analizleri yaptıklarını belirten Alman teknik adam, "Rakibin güçlü ve zayıf yönlerine baktık. Sadece kaybettikleri Sırbistan değil, gruptaki diğer maçlarını da analiz ettik. Rakibi tanıyoruz ama asıl bizim ne yapacağımız önem taşıyor. En iyi performansımızı nasıl sergileyeceğimiz, en çok fırsatı hangi şekilde yakalayabileceğimiz ve en yüksek öz güvenle nasıl oynayacağımız üzerine düşünüyoruz. Bizim taktiklerimiz bu düşüncelere bağlı olacak." şeklinde konuştu.
"Rakibin yıldızı dünya futbol tarihinin de en golcü oyuncusu olan Ronaldo. Merih (Demiral) onu iyi tanıyor. Adam adama oynaması gibi bir düşünceniz var mı?" sorusunu Alman teknik adam, "Ronaldo'yu adam adama markajla engellemek bir düşünce ama bizim düşüncemiz daha çok takım savunmasıyla ilgili. Ronaldo'ya pas atılacak alternatifleri kapatmak, onun birebir kalmasını engelleyecek taktikleri bulmak asıl düşüncemiz." şeklinde yanıtladı.

Stefan Kuntz, aday kadroya davet ettikleri oyuncularla ilgili şu açıklamayı yaptı:
"Açıkladığımız oyunculardan Dorukhan (Toköz) ve Yunus'un (Akgün), Barış (Alper Yılmaz) ve Yusuf'tan (Sarı) performans olarak daha önde olduklarını gördük. Bu oyuncuları tercih ettik. Forvette de aramızda düşündüğümüz Umut (Bozok) ve Deniz Undav konusu vardı. Bu bizi biraz düşündürdü ama sonuçta Türkiye'de olduğu ve Süper Lig gol krallığı yarışında ikinci sırada yer aldığı için tercihimizi Umut'tan yana kullandık. Enes'in (Ünal) de son haftalarda inanılmaz iyi performansı var. LaLiga gol krallığı sıralamasında üçüncü sırada. Tabii ki bu performansıyla burada olacaktı. Her zaman vurguladığımız gibi şu anda burada bizimle olmayanlar bir daha asla gelemeyecekler gibi bir durum söz konusu değil. Kapı tamamen açık. Gelecekte onların da şansı var."
Enes Ünal ve Okay Yokuşlu'yu yakın zamanda Madrid'de ziyaret ettiğini aktaran Kuntz, "Uzun uzun sohbet ettik. Geçmişi de konuştuk. Daha önce burada neler olduğunu, milli takımdaki durumu konuştuk. Burada Hakan'dan (Çalhanoğlu) da bahsedebiliriz. Hakan'dan beklentiler vardı. Enes'ten de beklenti var. Beklentinin yüksek olduğu iki oyuncu. Bunları konuşurken, oyuncularımıza sunduğumuz şansların da adil olması gerek. Onlara adil kendilerini gösterme şansı vermemiz gerek. Enes'in Getafe'de kendini bulduğunu düşünüyorum. Avrupa'da çeşitli kulüplerde oynadı, Getafe'de ise oturdu. Getafe'nin sportif direktörü ve teknik direktörüyle konuştum, onlar da performansından çok memnunlar. Takım için çok kilit bir oyuncu olarak görüyorlar. Yine takımda tutmak istediklerini söylediler." değerlendirmesinde bulundu.
Kuntz, Hakan Çalhanoğlu için, 'İtalya’daki performansını milli takımda gösteremiyor.' eleştirilerine değinerek, "Oyuncuyu bir mevkide değerlendirirken burada faktörler var. Birincisi hocanın kafasında ne var, oyuncuyu nasıl kullanmak istiyor? İkinci konu da oyuncu nerede oynayabiliyor ve yetenekleri ne? Bu iki kriteri düşündüğümüz zaman son iki maçta Hakan'ı oynattığımız tarz hem milli takım hem de kendisi için en iyi tarz diye düşünüyorum. Son iki maçında çok iyi performans sergiledi. Onun performansından gayet memnunuz. 'Hakan yerini buldu.' diyebiliriz." diye konuştu.

Benavidez vs Ellis FULL FIGHT: March 13, 2021 - PBC on Showtime

Former two-time world champion David Benavidez kept his perfect ring record intact with an 11th-round technical knockout victory against veteran Ronald Ellis in their WBC Super Middleweight Title Eliminator main event on Saturday night’s SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING telecast, live on SHOWTIME from Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., in a Premier Boxing Champions event.

Phoenix’s Benavidez (24-0, 21 KOs) flashed brilliant hand speed, accuracy and power as he dominated Ellis (18-2-2, 12 KOs) of Lynn, Mass., over 11 rounds before referee Johnny Callas finally waved off the fight at 2:03 of the penultimate round. The 24-year-old star held a significant lead on all three scorecards (99-91, 98-92 x2) at the time of the stoppage.

“I rate my performance pretty good but I know I could have done better,” said Benavidez, who extended his perfect record to 24-0. “Ronald Ellis is a tough competitor. I just hope the fans like what they saw. I threw a lot of combinations, punches in bunches. There were a lot of times I thought Ellis was going to quit but he didn’t. Hats off to him, he’s a tough guy. It was a little later than I wanted but a stoppage is still a stoppage. I hope the fans got a good show tonight.”

A boxing prodigy turned youngest super middleweight world champion in boxing history, Benavidez turned in a masterful performance as evidenced by his punch stats, landing 289 of 532 power punches thrown for an eye-popping connection rate of 54%. Benavidez connected on 50 punches in the 11th round which ultimately led to the stoppage. Both fighters combined to throw 1,403 punches. Following his dominating win on SHOWTIME, Benavidez is one step closer to reclaiming a super middleweight world title.

“I want all the big guys,” Benavidez added. “Speaking for the fans too, they would love to see me against all the big guys because as you can see, I love throwing punches. I love stopping people so me versus any big name would be an amazing fight. I want [Jermall] Charlo, Canelo Alvarez, Caleb Plant, all of them.”

Ellis, 31, showed tremendous determination and a very sturdy chin as he absorbed the constant onslaught from the former two-time world champion. Often working off the ropes as Benavidez pressed the action, Ellis landed 89 of his 334 jabs.

“I could have popped the jab and controlled things a little bit more and not let him smother me,” said Ellis. “Hell yeah I wanted to finish. I didn’t want to give him that satisfaction. I could have moved a little bit more and not taken so many shots to the head. Hats off to him. He did what he had to do. He never hurt me, that’s the funny thing. I took a lot of shots but he didn’t damage me or have me super hurt. I never thought about quitting.”

The sports world lost an icon today as the death of Marvelous Marvin Hagler was reported hours before the live telecast began. A member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame, Hagler, who was 66 years old, fought in the first main event ever on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING on March 10, 1986. Hagler was honored with a ceremonial 10-count prior to tonight’s main event.

Benavidez reflected on Hagler’s passing after the fight: “I had met Marvin once before and he was a great champion. Someone told me he fought the first fight on SHOWTIME. Someone on my team let me know a few hours before the fight that he had passed. It’s sad and he will be missed. He was a true legend.”
